This month, we are joined by Arlene Wagner, Vice President of the Greater Washington Aquatic Plant Association (GWAPA), who will guide us through the basics of aquatic plant care.
She began her journey with aquatic plants in 2008 when she set up a ten-gallon tank for one of her sons' birthdays and then discovered how much she disliked the look of plastic plants in aquariums. One day, while browsing aquarium setups online, she discovered the world of aquatic plants and nature aquariums by Takashi Amano and was immediately captivated.
There will be a plant giveaway/raffle.
There will be a mini-swap for those who have items to bring. The mini-swap is open to all at no cost.
Light snacks will be provided, and drinks will be available for purchase. Those in attendance will receive a complimentary plant while supplies last.
